K'yary Quii.
Child of privilege, wealth, and talent.
The child of one of Ul'Dah's most famous dancers and a wealthy Monetarist, K'yary has had everything she ever wanted or needed from a young age- or so it seems. Flirty, coquettish, and provocative, she desires nothing more than to be the centre of attention, but peeking through the cracks in her shell might reveal more than meets the eye...
Background
The greatest dancer to grace the court in three generations- The Sultana's Sapphire.Ul'dah's greatest Courtier of the generation, and the greatest Banquet Manager the city has ever seen. The marriage of the two turned heads everywhere on the street- after all, it isn't every day that you see a wealthy Monetarist and one of the greatest entertainers of the generation fall in love, after all. And just as their marriage was the talk of the town, so would be the fruit of their union.K'yary has never known a moment away from the spotlight. Right from her birth, many pegged her to inherit the Sapphire's legacy, The Azure Feather- an offshoot of the famed Troupe Falsaim, and one of Ul'Dah's premier dancing companies. When asked once what her life was like before she started dancing, K'yary was quick to mention that there was no such 'life'. Raised to dance from as early as she could walk, her daily regime involved harsh lessons on management, music, and general knowledge- what good is a dancer who isn't eloquent at dinner parties, after all? What scant few moments she had to herself weren't necessarily hers, as well- they were spent enjoying the unique privilege of being the child of people so famous- she wined, dined, and spent much of her free time in the company of people who never let her leave the limelight. Showered with attention, love, and gifts, and always the star of every show, her appetite for the attention of others grew voracious- yet she could never truly catch the eye of the people she loved the most. Her father never left her wanting for anything materially, but he was always away on business (the Monetarists do like their Ishgardian wine and Thavnairian spices, after all) and never really had any time to show appreciation or even attend her performances, and her mother, the dedicated Troupe Leader that she was, never had time to treat her daughter like, well, a daughter. And so K'yary grew hungrier for attention. Anyone, anywhere- eyes on her meant she was important, needed. Special. And attention did she get- though not all of it desirable. As K'yary blossomed into the flower she was always destined to be, she found the comparisons to her mother increasing. Living in the Sapphire's shadow was a daunting task- and as time dragged on, she found that many sought her out simply as a connection to her much more successful mother. But despite all these comparisons, K'yary would continue to dance. Whether it was to dance on the stage, or to dance into the arms of men and women- whether it be for a quick lay, or even just a drink- all that mattered to her was that, at least for a moment, she would be the most important person in the eyes of her audience. And so K'yary dances on, to an alluring rhythm that only she truly understands, a blitz of flower petals that leaves everyone she meets dazzled and, perhaps- wanting more.

K'yary retains her full-time job as the heir to her mother's dance troupe, The Azure Feather. Whilst the Sultana's Sapphire might have retired from her long and storied career as one of her generation's most talented dancers, she still runs the show- up until the point where she deems her daughter competent enough to inherit the reins entirely. When K'yary is not entertaining Monetarists and their equally rich business partners at formal dinners and events catered by the Sultanate, she spends her time hosting clients at Club Scordia- located, conveniently, in the Goblet, and not far from her family's sizeable mansion in Thanalan. As of late, her bumbling father has come to his senses, acknowledging his emotional neglect of his daughter- but too little, too late. While she willingly follows him on his business engagements nowadays to far-flung places like Kugane, Ishgard, and Thavnair, she does it simply to have decadent nights on the Sultana's dime, rather than out of any love for her father herself.
